My Sunday

4 days have passed so rapidly and we face the weekend again. The mailbox will soon be bombarded mercilessly with yippey and hurrey msgs but I am not happy. Yes that’s the truth , confused ??? I repeat I am sad that weekend is at the door… No its not some bencher moaning over the loss of system, AC, Free coffee and Revolving chair for two long days but it’s the love that make me hopeless. Don’t misunderstand me its not mine its other’s love that I am cribbing about.
So here goes the ethnic saga of immortal and selfless love practiced so solemnly by today’s youth (cliché, isn’t it??)To cut the crap – my roomie is in love …. Getting things now , huh!!! Weekdays he is ours and on weekends someone else bet the place. I am not against love … NO …. But its their love that is against us (yes there is a partner in disguise , we are 3). So every Sunday their love blossoms and we water the saplings. Love on Sundays is not illicit in books .. but truly devastating for 2 other loveless souls. So their matinee show starts at 12.30 sharp … and other poor souls are kicked mercilessly of the house for which they slaughter a big chunk of hard earned cash.
I have seen every possible show on Sundays and now the e-square ticket counter is familiar with me. I realized it when the lady distributing the tickets there recognize me every time and guide me with every possible permutation and combination of Hollywood and bollywood so that I can be their honored guest till 10. yup guys the lovers matinee show ends up in night shows……:) The cunning lover guy provides me a solace that may be this is the way you can have a beautiful friend at the multiplex …. But he knows better the group there follows the law of evens – 2,4,6 etc .. no odds. Only odds are poor guys like me L but I can tell you one thing definitely I am becoming a sweetheart at the ticket counter .. some chance there !!!!!
So wiping off the tears rolling off my eyes ---- just a small request stop celebrating Fridays and someone teach me marathi so that I can broaden my prospects of movies.
